How can Canada get through Trump’s tariff “psychodramas”? Bureau chiefs panel – March 7, 2025

With the constant uncertainty over the possibility of tariffs being introduced by U.S. President Donald Trump, Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly said on Wednesday that “it’s not true that we will go through this psychodrama every 30 days,” referring to the fact Canada was first given a tariff relief at the beginning of February. But how can Canada and the United States maintain a working relationship to resolve this trade war?
