L’Essentiel : Trump annonce une pause de tarifs douaniers sur certains produits – 6 mars 2025

Le président américain Donald Trump a annoncé une exemption de tarif douaniers sur les marchandises canadiennes concernées par l’ACEUM.

Dans le cadre de la guerre commerciale qui s’était déclarée entre les États-Unis et le Canada, Ottawa avait décidé de riposter aux tarifs douaniers américains sur une variété de produits en imposant une série de contre-tarifs. Ce n’était néanmoins pas la stratégie que privilégie l’ancien premier ministre du Québec Philippe Couillard. Notre animatrice Catherine Lafrance s’est entretenue avec lui.

Nous faisons le point sur l’impact potentiel des tarifs douaniers sur l’industrie forestière canadienne avec Vincent Miville, directeur de la Fédération des producteurs forestiers du Québec.

Selon Régis Genté, auteur et correspondant au Caucase et en Asie centrale pour Le Figaro, RFI et France 24, il n’y a rien de surprenant dans l’attitude conciliante de Donald Trump face à la Russie. La nation de Poutine l’aurait « cultivé » pendant des décennies. Il a récemment fait paraître à ce sujet l’essai « Notre homme à Washington. » Nous en avons parlé avec lui.
