Le président américain Donald Trump a annoncé ce jeudi que des tarifs douaniers s’appliqueront sur des produits canadiens dès la semaine prochaine. Pendant ce temps, une délégation canadienne était à Washington au même moment pour tenter un effort de la dernière chance lors d’une rencontre avec le responsable américain de la frontière, Tom Homan. Le ministre de la Sécurité publique, David McGuinty, et le responsable de la lutte contre le fentanyl, Kevin Brosseau, étaient sur place. Mais est-ce que le sort en est jeté ? Notre animatrice Catherine Lafrance en discute avec Frédéric Mérand, directeur du département de Science politique de l’Université de Montréal.
