PM Trudeau announces investment in Inuit economy – February 27, 2025

In Montreal, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announces that the government is investing in the Inuit economy and promoting conservation through the creation of a network of Inuit water and land conservation areas. Following the announcement, the prime minister takes questions from journalists on subjects such as tariffs and counter-tariffs, Ukraine, Canada-U.S. relations, the upcoming G7 Summit in Alberta, and the Five Eyes intelligence network. He is accompanied by Olayuk Akesuk, President of the Qikiqtani Inuit Association, and Natan Obed, President of Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami.
