Premier David Eby marks Pink Shirt Day in British Columbia – February 26, 2025

British Columbia Premier David Eby attends an event at the provincial legislature to mark Pink Shirt Day, which aims to raise awareness about bullying. He is joined by provincial Education Minister Lisa Beare.

Following the event, Premier Eby addresses reporters to comment on the ongoing threat of U.S. tariffs. Earlier in the day, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the 25 per cent import tariffs against Canada and Mexico would take effect on April 2. The premier also reacts to the recent resignation of Andrew Furey as premier of Newfoundland and Labrador.
