N.L. Premier Andrew Furey stepping down – February 25, 2025

In St. John’s, Andrew Furey announces he will resign as the premier of Newfoundland and Labrador. Furey, who became premier in August 2020 after winning the provincial Liberal leadership race, said he will remain in office until a new leader is chosen.

Following his announcement, Furey and his wife Allison take questions from the press.
