Liberal Leadership hopeful Karina Gould unveils plan to update social safety net – February 13, 2025

In Fredericton, Liberal leadership candidate Karina Gould outlines her proposed plan to modernize Canada’s social safety net. The plan would aim to increase supports for seniors and those living with disabilities, and would work towards establishing a universal basic income.

Gould faces questions from reporters on Canada’s response to the ongoing U.S. tariff threat.

Liberals will elect their new leader on March 9.
