Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre releases proposed Arctic policy – February 10, 2025

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre holds a news conference Iqaluit to announce the first part of his party’s proposed plan for the Canadian Arctic. The plan promises to construct a permanent Arctic military base, invest in two new heavy icebreakers and add 2000 more Canadian Rangers. The Conservative leader responds to U.S. President Donald Trump’s repeated threats to annex Canada and make it the 51st state.
