Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre proposes plan to tackle fentanyl trade – February 5, 2025

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre speaks to reporters in Vancouver to announce his party’s proposals to address the trafficking, production and distribution of fentanyl in Canada. The Conservative plan pledges to impose mandatory life sentences for anyone caught trafficking, producing or exporting more than 40 mg of the deadly opioid. It also calls for 15 year sentences for individuals involved in the trafficking of between 20 and 40mg of the drug.
