Carbon Tax Carney And Carbon Tax Chrystia Have Devastated Canada’s Economy
Ottawa, ON – After nine years, Justin Trudeau, and his two closest advisors, Carbon Tax Carney and Carbon Tax Chrystia, have pushed Canadians off a debt cliff. Fifty percent of Canadians are now $200 or less away from not being able to pay their bills while Canada has the worst household debt in the G7.
But today, the Parliamentary Budget Officer (PBO) confirmed that Canada’s economy is in an even worse state than Canadians realized. In 2023, Chrystia Freeland promised Canadians that the 2023-24 deficit would be kept below the already massive $40.1 billion guardrail. But the NDP-Liberals blew past this, recording a massive deficit of $61.9 billion.
Even excluding the $21 billion spent on one-time or exceptional items, the PBO reported that the NDP-Liberals still would’ve failed to meet their own guardrails. As a result, the PBO stated that “the Government failed to meet its first fiscal objective” of keeping the deficit under control.
As a direct result of this mess, Canada’s federal debt is at an all-time high with more taxpayer dollars going to paying off the NDP-Liberal credit card than towards the federal health transfer.
This is even more disastrous after President Trump threatened Canada with 25 percent tariffs. Carbon Tax Chrystia and Carbon Tax Carney have left the Canadian Government with hardly any financial room to respond. And now, they are trying to run away from their disastrous record, even though Carbon Tax Chrystia served as Trudeau’s Minister of Finance since 2020, and Carbon Tax Carney has advised Trudeau since 2020.
Freeland and Carney are directly responsible for the job-killing policies that have driven Canada’s economy into the ground, with Carbon Tax Chrystia voting for the carbon tax at least 43 times. She is also directly responsible for the massive deficits that have driven up the cost of everything. Carbon Tax Carney, on the other hand, was Chair of Trudeau’s Taskforce on Economic Growth where he oversaw the Fall Economic Statement where the NDP-Liberals blew past their own fiscal guardrails.
Enough is enough. Carbon Tax Carney and Carbon Tax Chrystia are just like Justin. Only Common Sense Conservatives will axe the tax and fix the budget to bring home powerful paycheques for Canadians.
