Start a conversation about this post
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Doug Ford, Ontario premier and chair of the Council of the Federation, deliver remarks ahead of a first ministers’ meeting in Ottawa. The meeting comes in the wake of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s threat to impose a 25 per cent import tariff on goods coming from Canada and Mexico when he takes office. Trump is set to be sworn in as president on January 20. (January 15, 2025)
