NDP marks Thai Pongal 2025 « Canada’s NDP

Canada’s NDP leader Jagmeet Singh made the following statement:

“Today marks the beginning of Thai Pongal, a time when Tamils in Canada and all over the world will come together to celebrate the harvest festival. It’s also Tamil Heritage Month, when we celebrate and recognize the richness of the Tamil language, culture, and heritage.

Over the coming days, families from across the country will come together to share good food, celebrate good fortune to come, and mark the end of the winter solstice.

New Democrats send our warmest wishes to you and your families as you celebrate Thai Pongal.”
