Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew on plan to address homelessness – January 14, 2025

Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew speaks to the media in Winnipeg to discuss the government’s new plan to end chronic homelessness in the province. Kinew is joined by provincial Addictions and Homelessness Minister Bernadette Smith, Winnipeg mayor Scott Gillingham, and the premier’s new senior adviser on ending chronic homelessness, Tessa Blaikie Whitecloud. The new provincial strategy aims to move 700 Manitoban out of homeless encampments and into housing on a 30-day timeline.
