A study, published in the academic journal Science, reveals increasingly intense wildfires across Canada, especially in the northwest and northeast. Wildfire expert and co-author Dr. Mike Flannigan believes this study confirms the trend towards longer and more intense wildfire seasons in the future. “I don’t want to paint a grim picture, but the future looks smoky in Canada, especially in the northern regions.” Translated from French. Read more
