NDP says budget update fails people « Canada’s NDP

NDP Finance critic Don Davies issued the following statement in response to the Fall Economic Statement:

“Budgets reveal who you’re really working for, and what your values are. In the government’s economic update, the Liberals failed to recognize or deal with the serious overlapping crises facing working and middle class Canadians.

Of course, Pierre Poilievre and the Conservatives would not fix that. They would enrich CEOs and big businesses and pay for it with callous Conservative cuts that hurt people.

The NDP believes we need to prioritize people, effectively tackle the affordability crisis and deliver better health care—and pay for it by ending the massive handouts and tax breaks that CEOs and big business enjoy.”
