MPs comment on Chrystia Freeland’s cabinet resignation – December 16, 2024

MPs speak with reporters on Parliament Hill as they convene for the daily question period in the House of Commons. NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh comments on the resignation of Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland from cabinet on the day she was set to deliver the fall economic statement. Singh also calls for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to step down.

Also speaking with reporters are Liberal MPs Wayne Long, Sophie Chatel, Marcus Powlowski, George Chahal, John McKay, Anthony Housefather, Salma Zahid, Shafqat Ali and Jaime Battiste.
