MPs speak with reporters on Parliament Hill as they convene for the daily question period in the House of Commons. Ministers Mary Ng (trade), François-Philippe Champagne (innovation), and Jonathan Wilkinson (natural resources) and NDP MPs Alexandre Boulerice and Brian Masse comment on Canada’s response to U. S. President-elect Donald Trump’s threats to impose a 25 per cent tariff on all imports from Canada and Mexico.

Green Party Leader Elizabeth May discusses the federal government’s recent announcement that Canada will aim to cut carbon emissions by 45 to 50 per cent below 2005 levels by 2035.

Transport Minister Anita Anand is asked about the future of the leadership of the Liberal party.
