Parliamentarians discuss next steps after Tona’s Law passes Senate – December 11, 2024

Senator Kim Pate and NDP MP Blake Desjarlais holds a news conference on Parliament Hill to talk about their bill (S-230), also known as Tona’s Law. The legislation proposes to curtail the practice of solitary confinement in Canadian prisons.

S-230 was passed by the Senate and is on its way to the House of Commons.
