Workers’ rights coalition holds a news conference in Ottawa – December 10, 2024

The Coalition Against Workplace Discrimination holds a news conference on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. The group is presenting a petition to the Prime Minister’s Office that contains several demands aimed at addressing anti-Black racism in the federal public service.

Speaking with reporters are Sharon Desousa (national president of the Public Service Alliance of Canada), Nathan Prier (president of the Canadian Association of Professional Employees), Alisha Kang (national president of the Union of National Employees), and Nicholas Marcus Thompson (president and CEO of the Black Class Action Secretariat).
