Civil liberties group launches campaign on use of notwithstanding clause – December 10, 2024

In Ottawa, the Canadian Civil Liberties Association (CCLA) holds a news conference for the launch of a national campaign regarding use of the notwithstanding clause in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Speaking with reporters is Anaïs Bussières McNicoll, lawyer and director of the CCLA’s fundamental freedoms program.
