Pilots and air traffic controllers present report on needs of aviation sector – December 9, 2024

In Ottawa, the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) and the Canadian Air Traffic Control Association (CATCA) hold a joint press conference for the release of their new paper entitled “Charting a Path for the Future of Canadian Aviation.” Among the speakers are Nick von Schoenberg and Benoit Vachon from CATCA, and Capt. Tim Perry and Capt. Louis-Éric Mongrain from ALPA. The paper examines the impacts of deregulation, underinvestment and the COVID-19 pandemic and outlines recommendations to ensure a safe and resilient industry that protects its employees.
