NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh speaks with reporters following the vote in the House of Commons on his party’s opposition motion, which calls for the Liberal government’s two-month GST pause on some goods to be made permanent. The non-binding motion also calls for expanding the tax cut to cover monthly expenses like phone and internet bills, and for the government’s proposed $250 rebate cheques to include students, seniors, and people living with disabilities.
