Justice minister decides to split his Online Harms Bill in two – December 4, 2024

Justice Minister Arif Virani decided on Wednesday to split his proposed online harms bill in two pieces in order to have legislation regarding the protection children passed. This allows the more disputed portions of the bill around online hate speech to be dealt with down the road. But will he be able to do proceed in time? CPAC’s Michael Serapio asks the question to the justice minister.
