Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland provides her weekly economic update on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. She is joined by Jean-Yves Duclos, the minister of public services and procurement.

Minister Freeland highlights the GST holiday bill that will come into effect starting on December 14 if it is passed in the House of Commons. She also announces the launch of a new $50-million short-term rental enforcement fund, which will deliver funding to municipalities to ensure compliance with existing short-term rental regulations.

The ministers also answer questions from reporters on Canada-U.S. relations, as well as when the fall economic statement will be published.
