AG says Ottawa compromised the value for money for its pandemic loan program – December 2, 2024

Canada’s Auditor General Karen Hogan released five new reports on Monday. One of them criticizes Ottawa’s management of the Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA), its pandemic loan program aimed to small businesses. One of Hogan’s key concerns is that the federal government has failed to provide the necessary follow-up with Accenture, the IT company in charge of deploying the fund. CPAC’s Michael Serapio talks to Auditor General Karen Hogan about her remarks towards CEBA and other government-run programs.
