Pierre Poilievre Poilievre says Conservatives will not support GST pause– November 28, 2024

In Ottawa, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre announces that his party will vote against the minority Liberal government’s proposed legislation for a two-month pause on GST for some household items. Responding to questions from reporters, the Conservative leader comments on whether his party would support increased funding to bolster security at the Canada-U.S. border. This comes following Wednesday’s first ministers’ meeting on U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s threat to impose tariffs over border security concerns.
