
PM Justin Trudeau and ministers react to Donald Trump’s tariff threat – November 26, 2024
The prime minister and ministers speak briefly with reporters on Parliament Hill before the federal cabinet holds its weekly meeting. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as well as Ministers François-Philippe Champagne (innovation), Marc Miller (immigration), Sean Fraser (housing), Jonathan Wilkinson (natural resources) react to incoming U.S. President Donald Trump’s threat to impose 25 per cent tariffs on all products from Canada and Mexico if certain border issues are not addressed.
Miller also comments on the recent protests in Montreal that coincided with the start of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly meeting. The protests turned violent and acts of vandalism were committed.
