Opposition MPs discuss Canada’s emission targets – November 20, 2024

Opposition MPs hold a news conference on Parliament Hill to discuss one of Environment Commissioner Jerry Demarco’s recent reports, which said Canada is not on track to meet its 2030 emission reduction targets under the Paris climate agreement.

Speaking with reporters are Green Party Leader Elizabeth May, Green MP Mike Morrice, NDP MP Alexandre Boulerice, and Bloc Québécois MP Monique Pauzé, as well as Aly Hyder Ali, the oil and gas program manager at Environmental Defence Canada.
