B.C. update on avian flu detection – November 12, 2024

Dr. Bonnie Henry, British Columbia’s provincial health officer, holds a news conference in Vancouver to discuss the first presumptive case of avian influenza in Canada.

Health officials announced on November 10 that a teenager in the Fraser Health region had tested positive for the H5 virus, otherwise known as bird flu.
