Will U.S. President-Elect Trump impose 10% to Canadian exports? – November 8, 2024

Donald Trump has promsed to impose at least a 10 per cent tariff on all American imports. But the Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland, who chairs the cabinet committee on Canada-U.S. relations, cast doubt on Friday that such an initiative could ultimately apply to Canada. CPAC’s Michael Serapio discusses Trump’s promise, and the behind-the-scenes negotiations, with Beth Burke, CEO of the Canadian American Business Council.
