NDP MP Rachel Blaney discusses bill on animal-assisted support for veterans – November 5, 2024

Rachel Blaney, the NDP critic for veterans affairs, discusses her private member’s bill (C-417) to help veterans acquire a service animal if they need one.

She is joined at the news conference on Parliament Hill by Joanne Moss, CEO and founder of the Canadian Foundation for Animal-Assisted Support Services, as well as Sergeant (Ret’d) Dwayne Sawyer and Major (Ret’d) Sandy Scott from the Canadian Veteran Service Dog Unit.
