Canada has introduced draft regulations that would force oil and gas producers to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions by one-third compared to 2019 levels by 2030-2032. This measure has been criticized by Alberta Premier Danielle Smith, who has stated her intention to fight against the policy. Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre has also expressed that he plans to revoke it if he comes to power. CPAC’s Michael Serapio discusses this issue with Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault.
