MP Ali Ehsassi discusses press freedom in Afghanistan – November 4, 2024

On Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Liberal MP Ali Ehsassi holds a news conference to discuss media censorship by the Taliban regime in Afghanistan. He is joined by Lotfullah Najafizada (CEO of Amu TV), Sayara Dashty (president of the Dashty Foundation), Ahmad Siyar Habibi (leader of the Youth Senators Parliamentary Group), and Kawa Ahangar (board member of the Dashty Foundation).

The event follows the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists, which is observed annually on November 2.
