On September 18th in Toronto, key stakeholders, military leaders and academics gathered to explore challenges and opportunities in the Arctic at the Mackenzie Institute’s Canadian Arctic Conference. In the closing keynote address former NORAD Commander US General (ret’d) Glen D. Vanherck outlines the current state of NORAD, continental defence and the challenges in detecting, defending against, and deterring threats.
