L’Essentiel : Ottawa dénonce les nouvelles mesures du Québec en immigration – 31 octobre 2024

Le gouvernement du Québec a annoncé l’imposition d’un moratoire sur deux programmes d’accueil des immigrants permanents. Ottawa s’est empressé de dénoncer cette décision, estimant qu’elle aura notamment pour effet d’augmenter le nombre d’immigrants temporaires, ou d’immigrants en attente de statut. Notre animatrice Catherine Lafrance aborde cette annonce, ainsi que d’autres nouvelles qui ont émané de la Colline du Parlement avec les journalistes Catherine Lévesque (National Post), Joël-Denis Bellavance (La Presse) et Émilie Bergeron (La Presse canadienne).

Un TGV pourrait voir le jour entre Québec et Toronto. Nous en discutons avec l’expert en planification des transports Pierre Barrieau.
