MPs on Liberal caucus unrest, privilege motion – October 25, 2024

MPs speak with reporters on Parliament Hill as they convene for the daily question period in the House of Commons. NDP MP Leah Gazan as well as Liberal MPs Francis Drouin, Jennifer O’Connell, Jaime Battiste, Peter Fragiskatos and Taleeb Noormohamed respond to questions on the unrest within the Liberal party caucus. More than 20 Liberal MPs have signed a letter asking Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to step down as leader of their party before the next election.

Gazan also comments on the continued debate over the Conservative party’s privilege motion on obtaining government documents pertaining to Sustainable Development Technology Canada.
