Alberta ministers address federal pandemic response bill – October 24, 2024

Alberta ministers RJ Sigurdson (agriculture and irrigation) and Adriana LaGrange (health) hold a news conference in Calgary to discuss Bill C-293, a federal private member’s bill on pandemic prevention and preparedness. The legislation was introduced by Liberal MP Nathaniel Erskine-Smith and is currently at second reading in the Senate.

The ministers are joined by David Hyink, chair of Alberta Chicken Producers, Doug Roxburgh, vice-chair of Alberta Beef Producers, and Sandra Spruit, board member of Alberta Pork.
