L’Essentiel : Le NPD veut un comité d’enquête sur l’ingérence indienne – 21 octobre 2024

Le chef du NPD, Jagmeet Singh, a obtenu la tenue d’un débat d’urgence au sujet d’allégations d’ingérence dirigées contre l’Inde. Les libéraux ont toutefois refusé la motion néo-démocrate visant la formation d’un comité d’enquête. Cette demande faisait suite aux révélations récentes de la GRC selon lesquelles des agents du gouvernement indien seraient liés à des actes criminels en territoire canadien. Notre animatrice Catherine Lafrance en parle avec Peter Julian, leader parlementaire du NPD.

Nous revenons également sur le résultat très serré des élections en Colombie-Britannique et la récente entente forçant les producteurs de tabac à verser 32,5 milliards de dollars aux provinces et aux territoires pour indemniser les victimes du tabac ou leurs héritiers.
