Pharmacare legislation passes into law: MP panel – October 11, 2024

Bill C-64, the pharmacare legislation that was part of the now-collapsed supply and confidence deal between the NDP and the Liberals, passed the Senate and received Royal Assent Thursday night.

The federal government must now negotiate bilateral agreements with the provinces and territories.

CPAC’s Michael Serapio discusses next steps with Yasir Naqvi, the parliamentary secretary to the minister of health, and Peter Julian, the NDP’s house leader and health critic.
