PBO carbon pricing report, privilege motion, supply management – October 10, 2024

MPs speak with reporters on Parliament Hill as they convene for the daily question period in the House of Commons. Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault comments on the updated report by the Parliamentary Budget Office (PBO) on the economic impacts of the federal carbon pricing system on households across the country.
Conservative MP Richard Lehoux and Bloc Québécois Denis Trudel face questions on the Conservative privilege motion on obtaining government documents pertaining to Sustainable Development Technology Canada. They also discuss the Senate’s study of Bill C-282, Bloc member’s bill to protect supply management in future trade deals.
Immigration Minister Marc responds to questions on the Quebec government’s new bill to limit the number of international students in the province.
