Eau potable dans les Premières Nations : entrevue avec la sén. Michèle Audette – 10 octobre 2024

Les membres de la Première Nation de Shamattawa, au Manitoba, doivent faire bouillir leur eau depuis 2018. Ils intentent un recours collectif au gouvernement du Canada au nom de tous les membres des Premières Nations au pays qui font face au même problème. 59 autres Premières Nations les appuient dans leur poursuite.

Les avocats du gouvernement fédéral répliquent en affirmant que le Canada n’a ni obligation légale ni aucun devoir d’exploiter et d’entretenir ces réseaux d’aqueduc.
