The Canadian Veterinary Medical Association holds a news conference in Ottawa to promote Animal Health Week. The association is calling on the federal government to do more to support veterinarians as they contend with mental health challenges and a workforce shortage in their field.

Speaking with reporters are Tim Arthur, president of the association, and Jordyn Hewer, its Quebec representative.
