Conservative privilege motions, vote on Bloc Old Age Security motion – October 2, 2024

MPs speak with reporters on Parliament Hill as they convene for the daily question period in the House of Commons. Conservative House Leader Andrew Scheer and Deputy House Leader Luc Berthold outline two privilege motions their party introduced in the House of Commons. One motion regarding RCMP documents related to Sustainable Development Canada, and the other involving ethics questions surrounding Employment Minister Randy Boissonnault. They are questioned as well on the vote on the Bloc Quebecois’ motion to increase benefits to seniors.
Minister Steven Guilbeault (environment), Jean-Yves Duclos (public services) Green Party Leader Elizabeth May and MP Mike Morrice also take questions on the vote on the Bloc motion to increase Old Age Security benefits.
Conservative MP Brad Vis comments on infrastructure funding for Indigenous communities.
