L'Essentiel : Ottawa veut négocier avec Québec pour le caribou forestier – 27 septembre 2024

Ottawa demande à Québec de s’asseoir à la table de négociations afin d’en arriver à une entente sur la protection de la faune. Le gouvernement fédéral propose 465 millions de dollars pour aider la province à atteindre son objectif de protéger 30% de son territoire d’ici 2030, notamment au profit du caribou forestier. Toutefois, la survie économique de plusieurs villages en Basse-Côte-Nord serait en péril après l’application de tel décret, selon des élus locaux. Notre animatrice Omayra Issa en parle avec le ministre fédéral de l’Environnement, Steven Guilbeault.

L’analyste politique Philippe J. Fournier a publié jeudi une nouvelle projection de Qc125 dans le magazine L’actualité. Il y démontre qu’en raison de la division du vote, le Bloc Québécois pourrait faire le plein de députés au Québec au détriment des Libéraux, notamment dans la région montréalaise. Les conservateurs et les néo-démocrates tireraient toujours de l’arrière. Comment expliquer tel scénario?
