Discussions Ottawa-Québec sur le caribou forestier : entrevue avec S. Guilbeault – 27 septembre 2024

Ottawa demande à Québec de s’asseoir à la table de négociations afin d’en arriver à une entente sur la protection de la faune. Le gouvernement fédéral propose 465 millions de dollars pour aider la province à atteindre son objectif de protéger 30% de son territoire d’ici 2030, notamment au profit du caribou forestier.

Toutefois, la survie économique de plusieurs villages en Basse-Côte-Nord serait en péril après l’application de tel décret, selon des élus locaux.
