What does it take to get Canadians out of Lebanon? – September 25, 2024

The fighting between Israel and the militant Hezbollah is intensifying. Fears of open war are growing, as 500 people have died and tens of thousands have been displaced by the hostilities.

Global Affairs Canada continues to Canadians to leave Lebanon by seeking commercial flights out while they can, but also warn that there are no plans right now to evacuate Canadian citizens.

CPAC’s Michael Serapio discusses the situation with Louis de Lorimier, Canada’s ambassador to Lebanon from 2005 to 2008.
