Devra-t-on évacuer les Canadiens au Liban ? – 25 septembre 2024

Affaires mondiales Canada a confirmé la mort de deux Canadiens au Liban dans des circonstances inconnues. Les craintes d’une guerre ouverte entre Israël et le Hezbollah augmentent, alors que 500 personnes sont mortes et des dizaines de milliers d’autres ont été déplacées, dues aux hostilités.

Environ 45 000 Canadiens se trouvent actuellement au Liban. Notre animatrice Omayra Issa discute du scénario d’une évacuation massive – la première depuis juillet 2006– avec Louis de Lorimier, ex-ambassadeur du Canada au Liban de 2005 à 2008 et Fellow à l’Institut d’études internationales de Montréal.
