Le chef du Parti conservateur, Pierre Poilievre, a qualifié ce dimanche la taxe sur le carbone instituée par le gouvernement libéral comme étant une « menace existentielle » à l’économie canadienne qui engendrerait une « famine massive » et de la « malnutrition ». La leader du gouvernement à la Chambre des communes, Karina Gould, l’a dès lors qualifié de « fraudeur ».
