MLA Josie Osborne says water infrastructure upgrades will improve drinking water in the Alberi-Clayoquat region
BAMFIELD – BC NDP MLA Josie Osborne says water infrastructure upgrades will improve drinking water for people in the Alberni-Clayoquot region.
“Having clean, reliable drinking water is essential for our communities,” said Josie Osborne, MLA for Mid Island-Pacific Rim. “This funding will help replace a key water main in Bamfield to make sure drinking water for people is accessible and reliable for years to come.”
In Bamfield, a submarine water main will be replaced that will deliver treated, potable water to the community and enhance fire-fighting capabilities. The Province is investing over $391,000 towards this project.
Four communities across the province are receiving upgrades to their water infrastructure after a combined investment of more than $7.6 million from the federal and provincial governments, and municipal partners.
