NDP statement on the anniversary of the Raid on Dieppe « Canada’s NDP

Canada’s NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh made the following statement:

“Eighty-two years ago today, over 900 brave Canadian soldiers lost their lives fighting for peace, freedom and the safety of all people. Thousands more were injured and came home forever changed by the day’s events.

Today, we remember and reflect upon their courage and sacrifice. On behalf of all New Democrats, I want to thank Canada’s Veterans and current Canadian Armed Forces personnel for all they have done and continue to do to keep Canada safe and free.”
